The pond behind Chateau Garage (…yeah, right!!). Actually this was photographed by one of Chateau Garage’s wine makers at Chateau Montelena in Napa.

Marc Cohen is one of the original founders of Chateau Garage and for some reason has stuck around ever since. At one time he knew a lot about wine but with middle-age and the passage of time that vast knowledge has become half-vast. Marc currently almost functions as Chateau Garage’s Fermentation Fomenter. Prior to this position he almost functioned as the focal point for all issues Brettanomyces. Marc’s taste runs to the eclectic when it isn’t running otherwise. His favorites include Pinot Noir, Viognier, Porto and Sauternes. He thinks Petite Sirah is ponderous but is developing some appreciation for well-made Syrahs. His current goal is to drink down his wine cellar, timing it so he opens the last bottle on his 100th birthday, and then dies.
